Spring Day of Service
April 9, 2022 – 10AM – 2PM Has your sponsor been saying things like: “You should try to get in some service work.” Or “Do something that gets you out of self today.” Well, does Galano have the solution for you… Galano’s Day of Service is a great way to be of service and meet new people, all while making our beloved club nicer for the whole community! Come the whole time, or just stop by when you can. It’ll be good clean fun y’all!
Face masks optional for fully vaccinated
We invite people, who have been fully vaccinated, the option to remove their masks inside the Galano Club, in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Austin Public Health Authority. Austin-Travis County health leaders have downgraded the area’s COVID-19 risk level to Stage 2 and given small businesses the option to no longer require masks indoors for people who have been vaccinated. AGC will continue to follow public health guidance and make changes at the club accordingly. We ask everyone to continue to be respectful of one another and their choice of whether or not to wear a mask. If you have any concerns, please contact the Austin Galano board at: board@austingalano.org. Be well, Rob R. Mel M. Matthew M. Tre C.Loretta M.Jason D.Heather P.Casey P.Peter T. Casey K.Jonathan W.

Your Health and Safety Remain Our Top Priority
The health and safety of our members and volunteers have always been of key importance. With that in mind, there will be no changes to the COVID-19 precautions currently in place at the Austin Galano Club. Texas State Governor Greg Abbott’s executive order lifting COVID-19 restrictions takes effect March 10, however Austin Galano Club will continue to enforce all health and safety procedures that have allowed our members to safely return to the club. For the past year, the Galano Club board has strived to follow recommendations and guidance from health authorities. Dr. Mark Escott, Interim Health Authority for Austin Public Health, said on March 9 that although Gov. Abbott is ending the mandate for individuals, businesses must still require customers to wear masks, according to the Austin American Statesman. Austin and Travis County businesses also must still require customers to wear masks as part of a local ordinance passed in…

Staying Safe in the New Year
Happy New Year to each of you, our Austin Galano Club community members! As many of you know, the AGC Board recently voted to re-open the club after a nine month period of closure. During this time, the AGC board drafted, voted on, and approved extensive guidelines on how to utilize the club and hold in-person meetings in as safely a manner as possible. So far, the reopening has largely been a success. Thank you to those who have attended a meeting in the past few weeks and adhered to our guidelines! At the moment, nine of our 23 groups have decided to return to the club to conduct in-person meetings while we continue to facilitate virtual meetings for the rest of the groups. For the people who choose to attend meetings in-person, here are a few reminders: We encourage people to continue to attend meetings virtually if they are…
